True 5th Axis ported cylinder heads
from Coast High Performance generate max flow numbers of over 320 cfm on the
intake and 215 cfm on the exhaust. While the dyno figures are not yet available
we can tell you that, at 600 lift, the flow is improved on an out-of-the-box
Edelbrock Victor Jr. by 30 cfm. Never mind cubic feet, this is almost a cubic
yard! Big inch small blocks, blower/turbo motors and nitrous assisted engines,
especially, are
just begging for this kind of performance.
The major advantage of 5th axis CNC
ported is each port is identical in shape. It follows, therefore, that each port
will follow the same flow characteristics. Think of it as blueprinting your
ports. Also, as each production run is identical, if you should do irreparable
harm to a cylinder head, you can now replace just one.
CHP CNC Ported Edelbrock Victor Jr.
cylinder heads are in stock in both stage II and Stage III configurations.
The Stage III is CNC ported
throughout the intake and exhaust ports. In addition the combustion chambers are
CNC thoroughly reshaped using the same CNC process.
The CHP CNC Ported Stage II has the
same exhaust port as the Stage III. Expect peak flow figures in the 222 range.
The intake port is gasket matched by Edelbrock to a Fel-Pro 1250 gasket. The
center of the port is left untouched while the bowls and short turn radius are
treated to a Stage III program. Peak flow on this design is approximately 305
cfm (@28" of water). The combustion chamber is as cast by Edelbrock. These
heads are perfect for most Street and Street and Strip small blocks. GET

then assembled with components that are matched to your application. Let your technician
know what type of cam you are running and the total lift and let CHP handle the
