CHP provides ROMAC
High Performance Engine Damper in
two configurations.
ROMAC Heavy Duty Dampers have a Steel Hub/Steel Outer Ring. The steel construction of the outer ring allows the
damper to
react more fully to crankshaft torsion loads.
ROMAC Ultra Light
Dampers have a Steel Hub/Aluminum
Outer Ring.
The aluminum construction of the outer ring allows the ultra light damper
to react more quickly to crankshaft twisting, making the ROMAC Ultra Light
Damper
perfect for high RPM, quick revving applications.
Available in both configurations,
ROMAC
Blower Dampers are specially designed
for blown applications. They are manufactured with a .125" larger hub to
protect against the violent torsion loads exhibited by roots style
superchargers. They also feature dual keyways, placed 180 degrees apart and include
the requisite timing cover seal.
ROMAC Dampers
are manufactured with an Elastomer band offering
increased reaction to the extreme torsion loads created in today's high output
racing engines. This design is infinitely superior to clutch or fluid designs
that are designed to handle harmonics instead of the twisting of the crankshaft
when the full weight of your car lands on the crankshaft. This is especially
true in "Power Adder" applications where crankshafts suffer from
extreme distortion due to heavily increased engine loads.
ROMAC Dampers are
manufactured with a CNC machined steel hub and an
steel outer ring. They are the safest damper offered, as
the external balance weights are integral to the steel hub, making it absolutely
impossible for the weights to come off the damper. The aluminum
outer ring overlaps the hub and is retained by a .125 thick retainer ring,
completing the best engine damper currently available.
ROMAC Dampers are dimensionally correct for ease of installation, guaranteeing
minimal hassle in aligning pulleys and drive belts. Also the outer ring
has 360º timing marks for your convenience.
ROMAC Dampers are S.F.I. approved.
