Main Web Girdles are manufactured to assist in strengthening the main webs
of Ford passenger car engine blocks in high horsepower applications. All
Probe Industries
Main Girdles are manufactured from steel, Billet Steel for the "Track
Dominator" and flame cut cold rolled steel for the "Street Fighter". In
our experience using a Probe Industries Main Girdle greatly decreases, or
eliminates, flex in both the main webs and the main caps. This reduces the
requirement of replacing the main caps in all but the most violent
applications.

Industries "Street Fighter" Main Girdles
Probe Industries "Street Fighter" Main Girdles are intended for use
in "Street" or most "Street and Strip" applications.
"Street Fighter" main girdles are manufactured of flame
cut 3/8" thick cold rolled steel. They are then machined, in-house,
for an accurate fit with a minimum of interference. Probe Industries "Street
Fighter" Main Girdles utilize a separate standoff to provide
clearance at the main cap and do not require machining or align boring.
Belt sanding of the main cap may be required. Probe Industries "Street
Fighter" Main Girdles are designed to clear all stroker applications.

Probe Industries "Track Dominator" Main
Girdles are intended for use in high horsepower and competition
applications. "Track Dominator" main girdles are manufactured of 1/2"
thick billet steel. They are machined, in-house, for an accurate fit
with a minimum of interference. Probe Industries "Track Dominator" Main
Girdles utilize a press fit standoff to provide clearance at the main
cap and do not require machining or align boring. Belt sanding of the
main cap may be required. Probe Industries "Track Dominator" Main Girdles
are designed to clear all stroker applications.
